Bug report: GRCh37 BLAT queries between 21st January – 20th February 2020

We identified that the GRCh37 BLAT tool was incorrectly using a GRCh38 reference file for all queries performed between 21st January and 20th February 2020.

During this period, any queries performed with the GRCh37 BLAT tool will have reported incorrect coordinates (reporting GRCh38 coordinates) for the associated genomic location for the alignment. BLAT is our default sequence search tool in a number of genomes including GRCh37 and GRCh38. If you performed a genome sequence search against GRCh37 using our online tools platform and did not change the search tool used, you may have inadvertently been affected by this issue.

This issue is now fixed, however we encourage queries performed during this time to be re-submitted. You can review your recently submitted jobs and re-submit from our tools interface.
