We are back with our Getting to know us (a.k.a. Teamsembl) blog series after a short hiatus in March. For the month of April, we got the chance to Swati Sinha who is a senior bioinformatician in the Ensembl Genebuild team. The Genebuild team is in charge of the Ensembl automatic annotation pipeline. In February, we talked to Gabriela Alejandra Merino from the Ensembl Regulation team. Before joining EMBL-EBI, Gabriela worked on protein function prediction. She is now involved in producing regulatory annotations for Ensembl. Outside of work, Gabriela is very active and participates in swimming competitions. Read on to get to know Gabriela and her work.

In this edition of our Getting to know us blog series, we introduce Arne Becker, member of the Infrastructure team at Ensembl who joined the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) in March 2022. Arne transitioned from IT security to bioinformatics and his work focuses on enhancing the efficiency of data processing pipelines.
