The Ensembl Rapid Release site (rapid.ensembl.org) has been archived, and is now available at: rapid-archive.ensembl.org. Any hardcoded URLs with the prefix “rapid.ensembl.org” will redirect to the new Ensembl site at beta.ensembl.org.
The redirects will lead to data for the same assembly version for that species, but with more recent genome annotations.
For example, the species page for Camarhynchus parvulus V1.1 GCA_902806625.1:
https://rapid.ensembl.org/Camarhynchus_parvulus_GCA_902806625.1/Location/Genome
will now redirect to the corresponding species homepage in the Species selector on our new site after a 10 second countdown:
https://beta.ensembl.org/species/2df86696-b80f-475c-b327-590a36260c6e
When a feature or identifier can redirect to multiple release versions in Ensembl beta, the redirect will offer a choice. For example, a URL containing the gene ID ENSG00000221914.11:
https://rapid.ensembl.org/id/ENSG00000221914.11, will redirect to a page where a choice of release versions is offered. In this case, a choice of the partial or integrated release for Human GRCh38.p14:
https://resolver.ensembl.org/rapid/id/ENSG00000221914.11
