Default gene track for Human in Ensembl 114 changed to GENCODE Primary

The default track display for Human in Ensembl 114 displays transcripts from the GENCODE Primary set. 

The GENCODE Primary transcript set contains a minimal set of transcripts as compared to the GENCODE Basic set (default in Ensembl 113) and the GENCODE Comprehensive set (default in Ensembl 112 and previous releases). For more info on how the GENCODE Primary set is defined – please see this GENCODE information page. 

If you would like to re-enable the display for genes from the GENCODE Basic or Comprehensive set, please make use of the Ensembl Control Panel accessed via the “Configure this Page” button on the left hand side menu, or by using the “add/remove tracks” button above the track image. As shown in the screenshot below, Under the “Genes and Transcripts” heading, select “Genes”, and choose the gene sets to enable by ticking the box next to the gene set name. Then click the tick on the top right hand side corner of the panel to display your selection.
