What’s coming in Ensembl release 105 / Ensembl Genomes 52?

Ensembl 105 and Ensembl Genomes 52 are expected in October 2021. Check out what we’re up to, although we can’t guarantee everything listed here will make it into the final release.

  • Dog (Canis lupus familiaris) reference genome changed from CanFam3.1 to ROS_Cfam_1.0 Labrador retriever
  • Dog-Boxer (Canis lupus familiaris) updated from CanFam3.1 to Dog10K_Boxer_Tasha.

  • De novo genes added for chromosome level Triticum aestivum cultivars from the wheat 10+ genome project
